FALL EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR KINDERGARTEN THROUGH ADULT

Youth Sunday School
5th-12th Grade–Led by Tami Dodrer
Our youth will begin the year working through a study on social media’s impact on kids. Tami learned of the material while attending the Momentum Conference. Their time will have a discussion-based format with fun activities included throughout the semester.
Adult Sunday School
“That the World May Know” video series–Led by Jeff Waybright
In each lesson, Ray Vander Laan illuminates the historical, geographical and cultural context of the sacred Scriptures. Filmed on location in the Middle East, this series will transform your understanding of God and challenge you to be a true follower of Jesus.
Adult Sunday School
Christian Movies–Led by Mark Bentzel
This group will focus on a particular movie to extract Christian principles. A discussion follows as to how these principles can be incorporated into daily life.
NEW THIS YEAR!
This will be held during the church service. Children and adult volunteers will be dismissed for 25-30 minutes while the sermon is given. They will be using curriculum from the Spark’s Bible which includes a lesson, crafts and games.
Coffee with Pastor Jim: A time for small groups from the congregation to have a conversation with Pastor Jim and ask questions. Limited to 15 people.

September Special Offering is for Promise Harbor. This organization is based in Haiti and provides daycare for special needs children. Lydia Deputy and her husband founded this organization.
Foundations of Faith starts tonight Sept 8th beginning at 5:00 PM at Vince and Tammy Hall’s home (203 Irish Dr., New Oxford). We will begin with dinner and a parent meeting.
New Hope Faith Community New Members class will be begin Oct. 6 immediately following the service. The class will be three weeks. Please sign up at the Hospitality Desk in the Fellowship Hall.
This Sunday is Committee Sunday. Please remember to stay after the worship service for your committee meeting.
The new worship Volunteer schedule for July and August is now available on the hospitality table.
Save the Date: October 6th! The Fellowship Committee will be having a fundraiser at Hoss’s that day. More information will be available in the next few weeks.
Men’s Breakfast will be Saturday, September 14th at 8:00 am at Railside Diner. The sign up sheet is now available on the hospitality table. Please see Ed Kuhn if you have any questions.
The Couples’ Luncheon will be held on September 21 at 12 noon at Railside Diner. This is open to anyone and everyone who would like to come out and enjoy the fellowship. The sign up sheet is on the hospitality table.
Help is still needed for the New Hope Ministries Food Pantry. Our time to serve is 6:30 pm on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. We would like to develop “teams” that alternate months. An ideal count would be 8 each month. Please see Deb Baumgardner or Nancy Hoover if you can help.
Collecting new or gently used purses. Women in underprivileged countries have parties where they sell purses as a source of income. You can read about this at www.changepurse.org. So ladies, let’s clean out those closets. We have now collected 53 purses! Thank you so much! A basket for your donations is located in the entryway.
Don’t forget to bring in your Aluminum Cans. There is a can located by the coat racks in the entrance area in which you can drop them off.

New Hope to Broadcast Sunday Service! Our worship service will be broadcast on WHVR 1280 AM and WHVR 95.3 FM from 7:00 to 7:30 a.m. If you would like to sponsor the broadcast in memory or honor of someone you may sign up to do so. The cost is 50 dollars. There can be more than one sponsor on a given Sunday Your dedication will be broadcast as part of the radio program. Our Sunday Broadcasts will continue on WHVR 1280 AM and starting immediately will also be simultaneously broadcast on WHVR 95.3 FM. Sponsorships are available.

Gabriel’s Project in need of supplies – We are currently helping 165 women and families. We are in need of diapers, size 1 through 5, baby wash and shampoo. We are also in need of baby bottles, stage 2 baby food with current dates, and Similac Advanced. Please help us gather these items and place them in the basket near the front entrance. Any questions please speak to Linda Stonesifer. Thank you for all you do for our young mothers and their children.
Gabriels’ Project is also in need of Similac Neo-Sure and Similac Advanced. Please place these items in the baskets at the back of our worship center.
Many of you have noticed that we now have a Community Aid box in our parking lot. Please put your donations in this box to be shared with Community Aid. New Hope will receive 4 cents a pound for all donations. And monies raised by Community Aid are funneled back into many of the ministries we support in our community.
