The cost is $50.00 dollars. There can be more than one sponsor on a given Sunday. Your dedication will be broadcast as part of the radio program. Box of Hope Items for the Month of August are Pudding and Jello. Please bring in your donations to share with those who are in need and place them in the Box of Hope (large blue tub) found at the front door entrance. Your donations are greatly appreciated. We have been informed that PAL is in need of BREAD ONLY! You may bring bread and place it in the designated Bread Basket in the coat room near the front entrance. Your 2018 Council Members are: Vicki Alwine, Larry Bair, Linda Bigham, Scott Braun, Merl Brilhart, Riley Dodrer (Youth Rep.), Dawn Graf, Ed Kuhn, Steven Harner, Robert Horan, Debbie Prior, Ralph Rebert, Dolores Snyder. Gabriel’s Project in need of supplies – We are currently helping 165 women and families. We are in need of diapers, size 1 through 5, baby wash and shampoo. We are also in need of baby bottles, stage 2 baby food with current dates, and Similac Advanced. Please help us gather these items and place them in the basket near the front entrance. Any questions please speak to Linda Stonesifer. Thank you for all you do for our young mothers and their children. Property Use Request – anyone requesting to borrow items from New Hope must check in the office to receive and fill out a Property Use Policy Form. Giving - You can now contribute to New Hope from our website - www.newhopefaith.org. The link can be found at the bottom of our home page. Don't feel like logging into the website to make your contribution? You can just text your contribution amount to 717-216-0733. Don’t forget to bring in your aluminum cans. There is a can located by the coat racks in which you can drop them off. Community Aid Box – Many of you have noticed that we now have a Community Aid box in our parking lot. Please put your donations in this box to be shared with Community Aid. New Hope will receive 4 cents a pound for all donations. And monies raised by Community Aid are funneled back into many of the ministries we support in our community. To Members of the congregation – If anyone at any time would have a need for our help, please contact the church secretary, Jean Bollinger at 717-632-4008 or 717-495-0471. The members of our committee will be happy to help when the need arises for meals brought to your home, calls, visits, or if you’re in need of transportation to appointments, etc. If you know of someone needing our help, please let us know. From The Care & Concern Committee. August Luncheon - Join us (men and women) on Saturday, August 18th at 12:00 p.m. at Railside. Following the luncheon there will be a discussion on a famous man/woman from the Bible. The cost of $10.00 per person includes lunch and gratuity. A sign-up sheet is located on the Hospitality Table. REMINDER - The New Hope Faith Community Picnicwill be held next Sunday, August 26th at Penn Grove Retreat - Pamadeva Road, Hanover. There will be a church service at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at the retreat. Lunch will be served at 12:00 noon. Dan Rohrbaugh will be making his famous fried chicken. There will also be hot dogs and hamburgers. Plastic ware will be provided. The retreat has a big dining room and shaded areas for the games. You may bring your own lawn chairs if you want to sit in the shaded wooded area. There are provisions for basketball, baseball, soccer, volley ball and horseshoes (must bring your own equipment). There will be games for all ages. There are plenty of outlets to plug in crock pots and one small refrigerator). COME ONE, COME ALL - LOTS OF FUN AND FELLOWSHIP. RAIN OR SHINE. Directions to Penn Grove Retreat – Take Route 216 and continue past Clair’s Restaurant and drive to Smith’s Station Road. Turn left just before the first bridge at the lake. Drive about 1 ½ miles to Penn Grove Retreat on the right. Look for the NEW HOPE sign. Also, there is a drop off place at the chapel for those that cannot walk on rough ground.
Join us for a special worship service on Sunday, September 9th at 9:00 a.m. for the installation of our new Pastor Jim Herbert. The format of the service will be our every Sunday worship with the installation service included. Special guest pastor will be Pastor Paul Larson. Our Fall Worship Schedulewill resume on Sunday, September 16th with worship at 8:00 and 10:30 AM. Sunday Church School will be 9:15-10:00 a.m. Please note the new worship and SCS hours.
