What’s All This Talk About the Rapture?
Join us for a special two day event. On Tuesday October 21st we will gather for a meal and then go to see the movie Left Behind. This film depicts what some view as how the world will end. We will gather at 5:30 for dinner at Ryans and then head over to the movie for the 7:00 showing. Then on Wednesday October 22 we will gather here at New Hope to discuss the movie and Pastor Tim will share some biblical insights into the Rapture and the End of Times. Dinner and movie will be on your own. Please bring a light dessert to share on Wednesday for coffee and conversation. A sign up sheet is located on the hospitality table so that we might have an idea of how many are coming. If you can’t join us for dinner please come and see the movie.
New members will be received on Sunday October 26 at the 10:45 am service. New member's Introduction will be held on Sunday October 19 and 26 during the Sunday School Hour. If you are interested in joining with New Hope please speak to Pastor Tim or call the church office to register. New Member information sheets are available on the hospitality table and should be filled out by all those who desire to unite in our fellowship.
Trunk or treat!
2nd Annual Trunk or Treat will be held Sunday October 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. We need volunteers to decorate their cars (and themselves if you want) and pass out treats to the kiddos show come by. This will be great way to invite and welcome families from the neighborhoods! Sign up and let us know you want to help.
We would like to offer Free Hot Dogs to the Kiddos who come to our Trunk or Treat as a way to say welcome. If you would be willing to help us out by donating some dogs, some rolls, or some ketchup and mustard please sign up on the sheet located on the hospitality table. Thanks for helping make this a great night of outreach!
WANTED: Faith Partners
We are in need of some adults who would be willing to be faith partner to our first year confirmation students. A faith partner is a “secret” friend who sends them notes of encouragement and remembers them daily in their prayers. You encourage them in this time of study and keep them uplifted before the Lord. If you would be interested in mentoring one of students in this way please sign up with Pastor Tim.
All Saint’s Sunday is fast approaching.
This is a special day in the Church Year when we remember all those who have died and now rest in the promises of Christ. We again would like to invite you to submit pictures of your loved ones that you would like to remember on All Saints Day. We will put them together into video presentation. Please submit your pictures electronically to email@example.com.
