New Hope News Briefs
We will welcome this Sunday into our family of faith Bailey Renee Millard as she is splashed in the waters of God’s grace and love. Bailey is the daughter of Dustin Millard and Laura Kline and granddaughter to Richard and Barbara Dees and great-granddaughter to Russ and Sarah Crawmer. Please join us as we welcome our new sister into our New Hope Family.
Thanksgiving Food Baskets-We will again be providing a complete Thanksgiving Dinner for families in need. Anyone that has signed up to donate food items for the dinner should be brought to church this Sunday, November 22. The baskets will be delivered by our Social Ministry Committee.

New Hope’s Annual Citrus Fruit Sale
will commence on Saturday, November 28. Please pick up an order form on the Hospitality Table. We will be selling fruit again at the Family Dollar Store in Littlestown on Saturdays and are in need of volunteers to help sell. Please sign up for a time slot to help sell the fruit. We will be selling from 8:00-2:00 p.m. and need volunteers to fill two hour slots. Please help us make this fruit sale the best one yet! Fruit will be sold on Saturday, November 28, December 5, 12 and 19th.
HOPE FOR THE HOLIDAYS, the annual Christmas outreach sponsored by New Hope ministries is underway. Beginning next week you will see a Christmas tree loaded with ornaments. Please take an ornament and pick up a gift and bring UNWRAPPED and place it under the tree. All donations will be needed by NEXT SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 29th.
It’s that Fifth Sunday time!
Our next Noisy Offering will be next Sunday, November 29th. Start saving your change now and bring it along to church next week!
You can sponsor a Poinsettia in honor or in memory of a loved one for 12 dollars. The poinsettias will be used to decorate our sanctuary on Christmas Eve. If you would like to donate a gift to the Pastor’s Discretionary Fund instead of a flower you are welcome to do so. Your gifts to the Pastor’s Discretionary Fund may be given in honor or in memory of loved ones. Order forms are available in the bulletin or on the Hospitality Table. Please place your form and money in the designated “Poinsettia Order” envelope on the Hospitality Table and place it in the offering plate. Please make checks payable to New Hope. The ABSOLUTE deadline is next Sunday, November 29.
YOUTH DAY OUT!! Monday November 30th Since there will be no school on that day we are planning a day out for all Junior and Senior High Youth. Please meet at the church at 10:30 AM (If you need a ride please indicate on the sign up sheet) We will first help serve lunch at the PAL Lunch to those in need. Then a quick stop for a bite to eat and then off for an afternoon of fun and fellowship. We will return to the church at 5:00 p.m. It will be an awesome day!! Sign up now!! There is no cost for this activity!!
The New Hope Faith Community Bazaar will be held on Saturday, December 5th at East Berlin Community Center in East Berlin from 8:00-2:00 p.m. New Hope’s very own Crafty Christians will have tables of crafts displayed. Hope to see you there.
A Christmas Concert will be held on December 6th at 3:00 p.m. at Black Rock Church of the Brethren, 3864 Glenville Road, Glenville, PA. Performing will be the Hershey Handbell Ensemble, of which our very own Liz Kielley is a member. A free-will offering and refreshments will be served following the concert. For information and directions to the church visit blackrockchurch.org or call 717-637-6170. Anyone interested in handbell ringing and b”ring”ing joy to the start of your Holiday season is invited.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Please join us Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to experience the beauty of nine decorated homes filled with the sights and sounds of the holiday season. Enjoy the hospitality and fellowship at each of these homes as we create what we hope will become an annual tradition. Tickets are available beginning today. The $5.00 per person ticket donation will benefit New Hope Faith Community’s Building Fund. The last day to purchase tickets will be Sunday, December 6, 2015. Feel free to invite your family and friends to join us!
New Hope’s First Annual Live Nativity will be held here at New Hope on Sunday, December 13 with showings at 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Rain date will be on Sunday, December 20th. There will be animals, singing, refreshments, a church tour and of course the message of Christ’s birth proclaimed through the angels at the Live Nativity. Everyone come and join us in spreading the GOOD NEWS of Christ’s birth!
Now that the Christmas tree has emptied of our ornaments we need to fill it up with socks. Please bring in new socks to hang on the tree. Remember to bring some of every size. We will distribute them to those who have need of them. Thanks for sharing the warmth of God’s great and amazing love.
We will also be selling DELICIOUS Benson Old Home Fruit Cakes! They are available for purchase at the fruit sale. If you would like more information about the fruit cakes please speak to Joe Rife.
A devastating Earthquake has hit Nepal and thousands of lives have been lost and the destruction is enormous. If you would like to help provide aid to the people of Nepal please use the Disaster Response envelope located in the Pew Pocket in front of you. Your gifts will be shared with the Lutheran World Relief as they provide assistance to the victims of this terrible disaster.
You will notice in the chair pockets blue prayer slips. If you would like to include someone in the prayers of the community during worship this morning please place their name on the prayer slip and pass it to the center aisle. During the playing of “Come Now Is the Time to Worship” the slips will be collected by the Ushers and given to Pastor. PLEASE WRITE LEGIBLY!!
Gabriel’s Project in need of supplies. This ministry that serves families with small children and babies is in urgent need of supplies! They are currently helping 168 families and 4 new babies. They are in desperate need of diapers size 3, 4 and 5, baby bottles and stage 2 baby foods with current dates. (No Expired Items please) They are also in need of baby wash. Please help us gather these items and place them in the back of our worship center. If you have any questions please speak to Linda Stonesifer.

November’s Special Offering is the Pastor’s Discretionary Fund. These funds go to help members of New Hope or our neighbor’s in the community who are in need. These emergency funds are a great blessing for those in need.

New Hope will receive 4 cents a pound for all donations. And monies raised by Community Aid are funneled back into many of the ministries we support in our community.

New Hope to Broadcast Sunday Service! Beginning Sunday March 2 our worship service will be broadcast on WHVR 1280 AM from 7:00 to 7:30 a.m. If you would like to sponsor the broadcast in memory or honor of someone you may sign up to do so.
